Frequently Asked Questions
Q: As the customer, what do I have to do from day-to-day with an aquarium?
A: You will be asked to spend five minutes per day for fish feeding, possible glass cleaning if necessary and a general check over the tank. It is our policy that at a business workplace only one member of staff is trained for this. This helps to prevent overfeeding.
Q: Is there anyone I can contact for assistance/advice?
A: Ocean Life Aquatics can be contacted via telephone or email seven days a week.
Q: Is an aquarium safe if located in a public area?
A: All aquariums supplied for public areas will have locks fitted to both the lid and the cabinet doors. This prevents a member of the public from tampering with the system.
Q: Are there any restrictions on where an aquarium can be located?
A: Yes, there are some restrictions. During your free consultation you will be advised on the best location for your aquarium. We avoid placing systems in direct sunlight, in hazardous industrial areas, or areas where rapid environmental changes may take place. (e.g. cold/warm locations, excessive noise or hazardous fumes).
Q: Is there a minimum-term contract on the aquarium?
A: A minimum contract may apply on some larger aquariums. This will be discussed and details given during your free consultation.
Q: Where does your livestock come from?
A: Whenever possible we use livestock from sustainable resources (captive bred and farmed livestock).
